Terre Haute, Indiana has a strange history. Once a major train destination, this city has played many different roles. It was the 93rd largest city in the country in 1900 with 50,000 inhabitants. 110 years later, they still have 50,000 inhabitants. Brewery Row has a number of old brick buildings that used to serve as breweries, but have since turned into restaurants. When prohibition was enacted, Terre Haute didn't agree, and served as a major distributor for Chicago.
Now, the city revolves around the university.
